THIS SUNDAY
FEBRUARY 17th 12:00 - 4:00 PM
"HARLEY"
Female Chihuahua Miniature
Pincher
Also Meet
Victims of the Recent Flurry of Home
Foreclosures, Saturday and
Sunday 12 - 4 pm!
Three (3) cats living in a motel and
sometimes in a car along with Sabrina a three year old
black Dachshund who was abandoned in an empty house will
be looking for a new home this weekend.
Five
year old Harley is a chocolate and tan female Chihuahua
Miniature Pincher mix whose current family wishes they
could give her the attention that she deserves.
Harley
enjoys outings at the park where she can run and chase
birds. She knows her commands, likes strawberry yogurt,
playing with socks and Kong toys and lounging on the
sofa.
Harley's pet-parent Krystal wants a better life for her
and believes that a perfect home for Harley would be a
female that would treat her like a baby and let her
sleep under the covers.
You can meet Harley along with four victims of the
recent flurry of home foreclosures. Meet three cats
rendered homeless and living motels and sometimes a
car along with Sabrina a three year old black
Dachshund who was abandoned in an empty house at
our public pet promotions event at Newport Beaches
exclusive Fashion Island shopping center sponsored by
Russo's Pet Experience 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm.

Sabrina
lost her home due to the failing housing market
and recent explosion of
foreclosures. She
was left abandoned in the backyard. Lack of
pet-friendly landlords force abandonment of dogs
and cats. |
FYI:
Many of you may be interested in a follow up to the dogs
Roxy and Bear who lost their home due to their family's
home lost to a foreclosure. An unfortunate twist of fate
has Bear with a sarcoma on the left thigh and the biopsy
results are pending. Under the circumstances family
members in San Francisco now have come forward to help
the two dogs.
CALL
FOR LIFE: Community Animal Network's rescue phone logs
are bulging with pregnant cats needing help. We need
people to volunteer to care for pregnant cats and
abandoned kittens in their home. All veterinary medical
and food provided. Call 949.759.3646.
If
you cannot volunteer please consider donating to “Feed
the Kittens”. Four abandoned kittens drink 28 ounces of
formula a week until weaned. In order to buy KMR kitten
formula at a distributor’s price we have to purchase it
in large five gallon tubs. Otherwise the retail cost is
$19.00 for 12 ounces.
