RULES OF ADOPTION
- You must be 21 years of age or
older; have proper current identification.
- Proof of current residence. (drivers license,
utility bill confirming your current residence)
- Adult Children who live at home must have their
parents present.
- Renters: you must be the lease
holder (not a roommate) and have a copy of the lease indicating that a
pet is welcome and that you have paid any required deposits.
- BE PREPARED... a godparent or a nearest
relative*, who will agree to protect your pet in case one of
life's many uncertainties, is required. (The
Godparent
cannot live in the same house)
*You need the godparent or nearest relative's commitment - Driver's
license number, name, address and phone number is required for our
contract.
- When you adopt a "Network" animal, you are
committing to maintaining the health of the animal and protect the

These kittens' eyelashes are rubbing on their corneas and we need help
to raise money for their surgery. One of the orange kitten's cornea has
already ruptured and needs this surgery as soon as possible. The
procedure will remove their backwards lashes with a tiny electric probe.
Their estimated discounted eye surgery
cost at this time will be $1,400 each and there may possibly be a need
for an additional surgery that would increase that amount to no more
than $2,200 each.

Lady Luck was
so hungry when she was found that she had walked straight into an animal
trap just to eat.
A cat trapper was trying to trap another cat, but captured Lady Luck in
the process. The other cat was trapped, neutered and released. Petrified
and starving, Lady Luck was rescued, but she still needs a loving home.

Where
do all the cats go when they get out of the house and don’t come back?
Many lost cats enter a cat colony (a group of cats living together as
in nature) that are being feed by a neighbor that leaves food out,
or a local rescue person that has secret feeding locations for feral
cats. (feral: wild untouchable -
descendents from domestic cats but are born without human contact)
The pretty diluted
Calico cat we call Margery joined a feral cat colony when she became
lost and walked right up to her rescuer who was feeding. Feral cats just
would not do that.
Margery was one of
the lucky ones; she was taken to a nice warm environment and now has
been moved to a foster family in Newport Beach to await a permanent
home.
Since her rescue she
wants to stay close and no where near the front door. Margery likes to
play with shoe laces and prefers not to be disturbed from her favorite
sleeping place; the bed.

Sabina lives with other

because Sabina had a brother named
Chaplin who was very outgoing and played rough and tumble with
her like many young boy kittens do. But, she never liked
it and was constantly defending herself in rough play so she
sought refuge. She has learned to retreat to enjoy her
independence.
She grows to
love and bond with her caregiver and but she would be
considered shy of strangers.
The perfect

they blossom after time with someone they love.
It takes her about a month to transition

Murphy’s Newport Beach pet-parent claimed
to have worked long hours and says the cat never bonded with him
and chose to isolate himself in a garage cabinet since his
adoption as a kitten in 2004.
The now 5-year-old silver tabby was returned to the custody of
Community Animal Network, and Rhoda Doerr of Costa Mesa has been
giving a lot of time to rehabilitate and socialize Murphy since he
grew accustomed to a life of isolation. He will now purr nonstop
on her lap during their time together.

Rescue
Story: A rescue worker was driving in
a known coyote area and saw the beautiful cat Bentley out at night on
the street.
The
rescue worker pulled her car over and knocked on some neighbors doors
to find that a man was feeding him for several months outdoors and
that he seemed homeless.
Thanks to Bentley's microchip
and a concerned individual Bentley was safely returned to us!

Gets Along With Dogs & other Cats
Star is an amazing kitten. She has a wonderful
temperament, and loves to follow her caregiver around like a dog.
Her purrs is audible a lot of the time even without
being petted just hearing special baby talk words.
Star
has a calm personality unlike most kittens her age; but
yet she is very playful with the dogs and with me.
She is also good with my cat Peaches and I know that she
would get along with other cats.
Star is extremely playful and is fun to watch
and jumps very high.
She enjoys being held and
likes to be told, "I love you".

A pair of adult cats that are in need of homes right away. Their
original owner died after 4 years so an elderly lady took them in,
but she has passed away too. They are de-clawed and nice, but
scared.

A man named Mike lives
in a trailer behind a nursery and found the tree kittens when there
heads were the size of golf balls.
He nurtured them and
they came running when they heard his car pull up. they piled high on
him all night to keep warm.
