FAST FACTS

WHY DOGS NEED A LOT OF HELP

1. People are so busy with less time to walk and train their dogs.

2. People are afraid to adopt dogs from shelters that have no known behavior history.

3. There are more available large dogs in Orange County placing large dogs at risk at municipal shelters.

 4. Rental housing restricts the size of the animals in apartments and condominiums.

5. Apartments are more strictly enforcing a "no pets" rule or "cats only" rule. There are fewer available homes for dogs.

        RULES OF ADOPTION

You must be 21 years of age or older; have proper current identification.

Proof of current residence. (drivers license, utility bill confirming your current residence)

Parents must be present if "adult children" still live at home.

Renters: you must be the lease holder (not a roommate) and have a copy of the lease indicating that a pet is welcome and that you have paid any required deposits.

BE PREPARED... a godparent or a nearest relative*, who will agree to protect your pet in case one of life's many uncertainties happens to you or your family.  (The Godparent cannot live in the same house)
*You need the godparent or nearest relative's commitment - Name, Address and Phone Number is Required to protect the animal

          Hello,

I am DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, I have been active in placing  pets into homes since 1996.

Allow us to introduce our services and how the process works.

There are three ways our organization can assist you:

 OPTION 1 - 90 Day Web Marketing $ 75.00 service fee

This "Ninety Day" Web Listing Includes a Pet Web Photo on www.animalnetwork.org dog page and multiple adoption web sites.  *all dogs must have proof of current vaccine records and have been altered.

OPTION 2 - E-Marketing and Advertising
                              $ 75.00 service fee
Pet Feature Article that is written by DiAnna Pfaff-Martin and e-mailed to the pet-loving community using DiAnna's contact data base filled with animal lovers, her family, friends and those on her social butterfly list who know her dedication through her through her work with animals. * all dogs must have proof of current vaccine records and have been altered.

 OPTION 3 - Unlimited Pets-in-Public Showings - $75.00 Listing Service Fee

Give Your Time and We'll Show You Success!

A one time $75.00 service fee gives you unlimited opportunities to show your vaccinated, non-aggressive dog at our “Pets In Public” showing at Fashion Island Shopping Center that is sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience as well as featured in DiAnna's "Pet of The Week" column in the local Los Angeles Times "Daily Pilot". Animals being shown at our weekend adoption events must be scheduled in advance  and have have current vaccine records and have been altered.

Option 3 -  takes more effort on your part but offers significantly more success within a shorter time frame as people may see the web site and be encouraged to come to meet the dog that upcoming weekend.  Meeting an animal in person generates an emotional response and thoughts thereafter often leading to confirming an adoption.

* Current pet-parents agree to support a 30 day return policy, therefore full disclosure of behaviors and house manners is necessary to find the right home the first time.

Option 3 Pets In Public showings has a 100% success

Option 1 and Option 2 is recommended to accompany Option 3 to maximize advertising efforts efforts.

To proceed e-mail founder@animalnetwork.org to receive the listing forms

or call 949.533.0411 to discuss the programs

BENEFITS OF PLACING YOUR DOG THROUGH US

www.animalnetwork.org is working for you 24 hours a day right here in Orange County. We give your dog the best opportunity to be seen by local people by promoting our web address in all the major local papers and the local editions of the OC Register and well as over 30 zip code sections of the PennySaver.

When we are contacted by an interested party we schedule a meeting for your dog to meet the interested family or individual at one of our weekend adoption events at Fashion Island Shopping Center in Newport Beach .

Successful pet-matches will transfer adoption rights to by signing paperwork that releases custody to the new pet parent. if the animal does not have a microchip we will perform a non-surgical procedure to implant a tiny  microchip between the shoulder blades and registered the chip to the new pet-parent after thirty days.* Confirming the term of the 30 day return policy* Animal Network receives a placement fee from the “new” pet parent at the time of placement.

A 30 day return policy offers your dog protection as we do not have a kennel.

Most returns can be avoided if behaviors and veterinary needs are disclosed ahead of time. We need to find right pet match for the situation the first time. For example; if a dog is young and very active we need to find an active family, not someone who is gone all day.

Finally, ALL DOGS (including purebreds) listed with our organization must have proof of current rabies vaccine and by spayed or neutered.  We cannot offer our services without this proof.

We hope this introductory letter is helpful.  Please remember that the best way to increase the odds of finding the right home is to take a multi-faceted approach – contact as many societies as you can, do not rely on just one service.

Sincerely,

DiAnna Pfaff-Martin

BEST BREEDS

FOR ALLERGIC DOG- LOVERS

According to the 1998 AKC allergy info page the Basenji, Bedlington Terrier, Bichon Frise, Chinese Crested., Italian Greyhound, Kerry Blue Terrier, Maltese, Miniature Schnauzer, Poodle, Portuguese Water Dog and the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier are the best for people that are allergic.

ACHOO! First off, there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. There are strategies that can help the afflicted to cope. It's not the fur that allergy sufferers react to. Although the fur conveys the real offenders, the dander, the saliva and the urine which in turn carry the canine allergen. The eye reddening protein can stay aloft in the home or alight on the rugs and furniture. The AKC recommends that you visit an allergist. Bathe your dog every week or so (take care not to dry out your dog's skin). Have an allergy non-sufferer take the pooch outdoors for a good brushing. A good diet prevents the dog's hair loss and the accompanying dander loss. Make the bedroom off limits. Cover mattresses and cushions with plastic. Do what you can to keep surfaces clean. Air filters and purifiers help. Information provided by www.selectSmart.com
