A Spay Neuter Facility For Rescue Groups

A Vet Medical Rescue For Dogs and Cats Needing New Homes

Animal Network of Orange County

A Public Relations Company For Animals In Need

I have wanted to make the time to connect with you about having your help with a project a to build a spay and neuter facility for rescue groups to use that would service animals needing to find new homes. This would not be a public facility and thereby would be supported by local veterinarians helping local rescue animals.

Your guidance and information could really help us gather the information and figures to begin the business plan for the rescue vet medical spay and neuter facility that I plan to build for rescue groups to use.

The goal of my project is to stop the unwanted pet population and the senseless killing of peoples pets here in Orange County. I do understand it is a magnanimous project, but I don’t believe it is impossible with the help of people like you that have the knowledge and the areas of influence to introduce me to the necessary parties to make it possible.

Our society needs a paradigm shift in thinking away from euthanizing to accomplish the same goal through spay and neutering. The rescue vet medical facility could provide humane education classrooms for school age children and adult education on choosing the right pet for the family and pet-parenting classes so people won’t have to give up their pets if the correct choices prior to adoption are made.

Orange County has dogs and cats living in poverty and breeding out of control in certain neighborhoods, industrial areas and apartment complexes. Stray cats that are not altered are giving birth to wild and untouchable feral cats that are suffering with starvation and treatable vet medical conditions such as ear mites and babies are born and die with flea anemia.

in my opinion, spaying and neutering is an affordable alternative humane solution to the county's problem of euthanizing. Trapping and sending feral cats to the shelter to die or people poisoning, starving or shooting them is not an acceptable answer.

As the founder of Community Animal Network, I am aware of the many solutions that would benefit local animals. I would appreciate introductions that you readers have within your area of influence that would help me with this worthwhile project.

Low Cost Spay / Neuter Program*

* (in exchange for gathering data)

A $ 75.00 DONATION WILL BE ACCEPTED BY CREDIT CARD

(Everyone Qualifies by Submitting Data for Our Research to Build A Spay / Neuter Facility)

Dear Pet-Parent,

Your tax deductible contribution to Community Animal Network supports this discount spay neuter program. Additional services will be discussed on an individual basis and paid directly to the veterinarian at “retail” price.

The organization works with veterinarians throughout Orange County and uses the services of many veterinarians. The spay/neuter program is available through veterinarians that have offered to support an affordable “spay neuter” to rescue groups and may not be whom we recommend for diagnoses and treatment of feline diseases.

Our professional experience for the last decade has proven that Dr. Elaine Wexler-Mitchell of the Cat Care Clinic of Orange at 714-282-2287 is the best diagnostic expert treating felines. There is no extra cost to see her or go to any other feline cat hospital. A great diagnostic expert is hard to find and her ability definitely has proven to save lives and our organization money.

The decision to offer the pet-loving community a low-cost donation supported spay/neuter program is based on an exchange of information necessary to study the subject of affordable veterinary medical services. The information gathered will be used to provide data to support a need for a spay /neuter facility available to rescue groups in Orange County.

This community service program is supported by the user by a tax deductible donation. The paperwork necessary to qualify for the service will be used to study the need and gather data about veterinary hospitals prices and information about the service.

Cat Spay / Cat Neuter - includes FVRCP vaccine

Spay/Neuter Protocol: The spay/neuter surgery will be performed on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. The cat shall not have eaten prior to surgery. (Withhold food from 10 pm the night before, water is OK. The cat will need to arrive between 8 am -9 am. Late arrivals may be turned away. Pick up your animal after surgery the same day between 4:00 and 6pm.  You will receive after care instructions when your appointment is confirmed.
